 01/02/2006 Wizz Air opens new routes from Sofia and Burgas
Wizz Air the largest low fare - low cost airline in Central and Eastern Europe announced at a press conference in Sofia today that it would start new flights from Sofia and Burgas to London and from Burgas to Budapest.

The flights to London will start on 1 May 2006. The route between Burgas and Budapest will be operated from 18 June 2006 during the summer on a seasonal basis.

The news comes just a day after Wizz Air revealed its expansion plans in Croatia and Slovenia by starting flights from Split (Croatia), Ljubljana (Slovenia) and increasing frequencies between Zagreb and London Luton.

Tickets for the flights are already available on the airline's website, wizzair.com or via call centre on +36 1 470 94 99 from as low as EUR 26.99 including taxes and charges. This promotional offer is valid for bookings made between 1 and 14 February 2006.

Jozsef Varadi, Chief Executive Officer of Wizz Air said: "We are very happy to have started the low fare revolution in Bulgaria and now we are offering more routes and more low fares to the people of Bulgaria and those who wish to visit this beautiful country. We are strengthening our market leadership in the low cost airline sector in Bulgaria."
